Hi! I'm a 48 year old divorced Mama with one son that is the light of my life! I love you Bo! :-)
I work 7 nights on 7 nights off at our local hospital and have been employed there for 30 years! The hospital is like home and the folks I work with are like family to me! Handmade Candles, Soaps and Prims are my first love in crafting! (I'm hyper and HAVE to be doing something all the time!) I also crochet and cross stitch! All of my sewing is done by hand!
Born and raised out in the country right outside Opelika, Alabama, I'm a very simple person. My faith and God are the driving forces in my life..... I love my family, my friends, my home, my work and my critters. Now a little about what I love doing! :-)
Long Cane Primitives was formed in 2000. My hope is to provide the strongest scent throwing soaps and realistic looking bakery style candles by using the finest soap bases, wax blends, fragrance oils and wicks available to me. I've ventured off a little into selling my own hand sewn Prims, Recipes and Patterns but handcrafting Candles and Soaps remain my love!
Every offering is handmade, designed and created by me out of my home just as they were in simpler times gone by.... one at a time, by my hands with lots of love, time and attention to detail. Nothing I create is ever mass produced or mechanically perfect.

Handmade with Love in Alabama
My Granny Rebecca Browning. Born and raised in the Long Cane Area of South Carolina, she met and married my Grandaddy while he was in the Marines traveling across the state of South Carolina. He brought her back to his home in Clay County, Alabama where they lived the rest of their lives.
My offerings are created out of love for my Grandparents and my brother and in remembrance of each of them... Such simple people with a faith that kept them strong.
